Gluten/Dairy-Free Cooking
My infant son, Kevin, does not tolerate gluten or dairy. I also have strong suspicions about his sensitivity to almonds and legumes. Learning to cook without staples like flour and milk or cheese has been a challenge. I am by no means an expert at it, but I had to start learning to save my sanity and my budget. There are many pre-made gluten/dairy free foods out there. Some terrible and some wonderful. The thing they most likely have in common is an OUTlandish price tag. My goal is and always will be to provide great tasting food that is not out of our price range and is in general healthy and wholesome. Obviously, treats are special, hence the name and you will not find my treats to be "health" oriented at all. But the food is. We always include fresh vegetables and made from scratch ingredients in our food. My kids eat what we fix, and most often that includes "green" things. The Family Meals section is not "kid" food, but sit down family meals.
